Glen Maiden's solid intricate and syncopated grooves drove what many people call the "funkiest studio band in NYC" "Stuff." His work during the 70's with the band and his performance with Joe Cocker led Glen to being honored for two consecutive years as one of the winners of Rolling Stone's prestigious Reader's Poll. Although he may be best known for his years of recording with Stuff later was recruited by Joe Cocker for his back up band. Glen embarked on two world tours with the one and only British rocker Joe Cocker.
In addition to his current gig with the band "Give Me Back My Wig," the Pennsylvania native has been lending his enormous talents to such diverse artists and performers as: Stanly Clark, Bobby Bell & The Blue Notes, Mythology Blues Band, The Gap Band, Cecelia Noel, Stage Fright, XTC, Jesse Winchester and Todd Rundgren with Woody's Truck Stop live from The King Biscuit Flower Hour.
Glen graduated from Penn State University in Pennsylvania and later attended graduate school at California State University in San Diego, CA. His music career actually began as he performed percussion with The Penn State Jazz Band.
Glen remains very active in the Los Angeles West Coast music and recording scene. His polished, extraordinary drumming can be found, currently performing with the LA band "Give Me Back My Wig".
